4000L Bulk Milk Cooling Tank-test

Rapid cooling. Hygienic storage. Practical daily operation.

A horizontal, insulated direct-expansion cooling tank for rapid cooling and refrigerated storage of fresh milk. It is designed for dairy farms, milk collection centers and small dairy plants, combining a Copeland ZR47 compressor, gentle agitation and food-grade SUS304 milk-contact construction.

APPLICATIONS

Product Applications

The 4000L Bulk Milk Cooling Tank supports fresh milk cooling and refrigerated holding across three typical operating environments: dairy farms, milk collection centers and small dairy plants.
1000L bulk milk cooling tank at a dairy farm

Dairy Farms

Cool and store fresh milk directly after milking. The 4000L cooling tank provides a practical link between your milking system and the milk collection truck. It cools 1,000 litres of fresh milk from 35°C to 4°C in approximately 2.5 hours under normal ambient conditions and provides refrigerated storage until pickup.

1000L bulk milk cooling tank for milk collection centers

Milk Collection Centers

Create a central cooling point for milk collected from nearby farms. The 4000L tank is suitable for cooperatives and regional milk collection centers, helping receive, cool and temporarily store fresh milk before it is transported to a dairy processor.

1000L bulk milk cooling tank for small dairy plants

Small Dairy Plants

Keep raw milk properly cooled before processing begins. The 4000L tank can serve as a refrigerated buffer between milk receiving and production, allowing raw milk to be stored before it is transferred to pasteurization, cheese making or yogurt processing.

COOLING PERFORMANCE

Cooling Performance

The cooling performance of the 4000L tank is achieved through direct-expansion cooling, gentle agitation and insulated tank construction working together as one system.

Full 4,000 L Load

35°C→4°C
Approximately 2.5 HoursUnder normal ambient conditions.Actual cooling time may vary with ambient temperature, inlet temperature, milk load, power supply, condenser ventilation and operating conditions.

Direct Expansion Cooling

Heat is transferred directly through the tank cooling jacket, allowing the refrigeration system to remove heat from the milk efficiently during the cooling cycle.

Gentle Agitation

A low-speed agitator circulates the milk during cooling, helping reduce temperature differences within the tank and supporting more uniform cooling.

Insulated Holding

The 50 mm polyurethane insulation helps reduce heat gain after the target temperature is reached, supporting refrigerated holding before milk transfer or pickup.
